Sleep study: Sleep disorders and sleep apnea

What kind of sleep study do I need to perform?

We perform the Polysomnography (PSG) and the Cardiorespiratory polygraphy in your home. We come to attach the electrodes and retrieve the equipment the following day.

Polysomnography (PSG)

This sleep study consists of electrodes and sensors placed on the head, face, chest, hand and legs.  This test helps to diagnose sleep apnea and other sleep disorders.

This study is assigned for patients that may have other sleep disorders that are not necessarily respiratory related. This study can be performed attended by a sleep technologist. Clinique Somnomed PSG

If you feel you have a sleep disorder, what steps do you need to take?

Your physician is the first person to speak to if you have trouble sleeping. They will be able to determine the type of testing you need. We can perform your test quickly in order to get your sleep back on track. An Epworth questionnaire may help your physician better assess which sleep test you need.

Fill out this Epworth questionnaire and bring your results to your doctor at your next visit.
